Access PIN

To take advantage of all the Rockford Public Library has to offer, you’ll need a user ID and PIN (Personal Identification Number). With your library card number and PIN, you can login to your personal account to place holds, renew items and to change your PIN. It will also give you access to some of the Library’s digital media, such as Overdrive eBooks, Freegal music downloads and research databases.

What is my User ID?

Your user ID is your library card number. It's the fourteen‐digit number on the back of your library card beginning 21112.

What is my PIN?

Your PIN is a number that you chose when you signed up for your library card. If you have never set a unique PIN (Personal Identification Number), try the last four digits of your phone number.

What if I forgot my PIN?

If you have forgotten your PIN, call Customer Service at 815-965‐7606.

Can I reset my PIN online?

If the library has your current email address on file, go to the Reset PIN page and enter your User ID to receive an email with a link in it that will allow you to reset your library PIN right away. Be sure to check your email within a few minutes of selecting Reset PIN, as the reset link will expire. Contact library staff at 815-965-7606 or webpage@rockfordpubliclibrary.org for further assistance.
