Summer Reading Club

Nearly 6,000 people completed their reading goals in Rockford Public Library’s 2008 Summer Reading Club. Our total of 10,788 SRC participants was a 3% gain over last year’s numbers, and 55% of these reached their set goal. With a wild Kick-Off party, great programs and fabulous prizes for finishers, we’ve had children, young adults and adults flock to the library over the summer. This program not only helps maintain reading and thinking skills over the summer months but it’s fun for the whole family.
